Celebrating 25 years at the Holiday Express Volunteer Appreciation Night
May 12, 2017
Tinton Falls, NJ – More than 100 Holiday Express volunteers sipped wine, sampled cheese, and socialized at the non-profit groups annual Volunteer Appreciation Night, held at the Holiday Express warehouse on Thursday, April 27th. In honor of National Volunteer Week, the event is a small thank you to the legion of volunteers who donate their time and talents to Holiday Express each season.
This year, Holiday Express is celebrating its 25th Anniversary, and has always relied on volunteers to make every season a success. “When Holiday Express first started, it was just me (Tim McLoone) and a small group of friends sitting around my kitchen table figuring out how to make this work. Now we have more than 2,000 volunteers who have contributed 25,000 hours this past season, and this year we will do 100 events,” said Holiday Express founder, Tim McLoone.
Established by Tim McLoone in 1993, Holiday Express is a non-profit organization. Comprised of 2,000 volunteers, including 150 professional rock, jazz, folk, gospel and pop musicians. Holiday Express delivers music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year.
