What’s the secret to looking beautiful on the outside on your wedding day? If you ask Sharon Nesbihal, owner and creative director of Salon Jenae, in Little Silver, it comes from feeling peaceful and pampered on the inside.
“This can be a stressful day. We try to be a calming presence to take away any anxieties and help the bride and bridal party relax and enjoy the moment,” says Sharon “We are known for a creating a very peaceful atmosphere. Our brides know we will take care of everything.” That even includes decorating the salon, playing soothing spa music, and offering a complimentary light brunch, complete with a champagne mimosa toast.
Salon Jenae’s wedding packages can include hair styling, spray tanning, make-up,mani-pedis and other services. The bride, mothers of the bride and groom, and the entire bridal party have the option of coming to the salon for pampering in a private room, or the glam-squad will work their magic offsite at a hotel, family home, or other wedding venue. Pre-wedding consultations are available – and recommended! – to help determine the perfect hairstyle, veil placement, and makeup look to complement the bride’s dress and facial shape. “We’ll do a trial run and even take pictures so there are no glitches or unexpected surprises on the big day,” says Sharon. “We want our brides to look and feel amazing.”
An industry pro for three decades, Sharon was selected to work with the Miss America pageant organization in 2015 and 2016, providing hair-styling and spray-tanning services to the reigning Miss America. “It was an honor and a lot of fun!” she says. To stay current on the latest beauty trends and techniques, Sharon and her team continually hone their skills through ongoing training with top-platform hair and makeup artists and colorists.
